4th quarter of 2011 was a good year for me. So in continuing that momentum, I was invited to lend some bars for the 2012 Cap City Cipha, hosted by P. Stew of One Nation Hip Hop & filmed by JukeboxDC. This marks the 4th annual cipha if I'm not mistaken, and the first one where I'm on the ticket. It just goes to show that if you keep working (as long as that work is quality), you'll get your shot. Lights Remix Feat. Cortni Ambria

It's me again. This time I've got something you might like to hear. Literally. After a few minor setbacks, I've decided to go ahead with this track as the lead from the project. It's actually one of my favorites on the project for several crazy reasons.

One, it's a rendition of a song called 'Lights' by an artist named Ellie Goulding. I heard the song a while ago, and sent it to my homie Frank Whyte to see what he could do with it. So he sent me back the beat, and I got in contact with the talented Cortni Ambria to sing the hook for me.

And here you have it, the first official release from One Man Army Vol. 2, 'Lights Remix'.

This may actually be the first time that I've EVER released to works within a week of each other. I'm not even joking. Crazy right? Well I've been learning to engineer my own sessions, so it's just the next step I suppose. Anyway, the original person who made a song over the beat I've just remade goes by the name of Lil B. If you're familiar you know about his work ethic. The dude has a bunch of songs. Long story short, I heard this joint and was inspired to recreate. Here you have it. His version is titled "I'm God". Have you ever seen 'Troy'? Starring Brad Pitt? See: picture below to refresh your memory. Anyway, I have seen it, several times over. There are many memorable parts, but one that is strikingly memorable is the scene where Achilles goes to fight Boagrius, and a young messenger boy forewarns him as to the man's size. Achilles proceeds to LEAN on the poor kid, but it was very eloquently put. Need a reminder? Here you go:
